PROJECT EXAMPLES
Hydrochar Production in Mexico
Following a successful pilot of a hydrothermal carbonization plant, the project developer was looking for second-phase financing. RTI recommended technical improvements and options for project fi-nancing, including carbon markets.

RTI helped to identify and secure carbon financing for scaling hydrochar production.

Dairy Methane Capture in Ethiopia
Reducing the methane-intensity of milk is critical to achieving climate goals and feeding a growing population. In Ethiopia, RTI and our partners are leveraging climate finance to incentivize dairy methane reduction and climate smart agricultural practices.

RTI is helping to develop and operationalize a scalable model
that can be replicated in other contexts.

Land Use for Climate Solutions in Tanzania
RTI interviewed over 240 local leaders, technical experts, and community members in Tanzania regarding land use. Using satellite data, we compared forest loss rates
before and after land use plan implementation.

RTI identified and recommended community-level solutions for strengthening the effectiveness and impact of land use planning on climate outcomes.
